Corporation Staff

PSPP Corporation staff provide strategic and administrative support to the Board of Directors and Sponsor Board. Staff also carry out the responsibilities of the PSPP Corporation, and oversee the provision of Plan administration services by Alberta Pensions Services Corporation, and investment management services by Alberta Investment Management Corporation.

Lynette Martin

Chief Executive Officer

Lynette was appointed Chief Executive Officer of PSPP Corporation in January 2019. She previously led the staff team that provided support to the outgoing board of the Public Service Pension Plan. Lynette provides strategic, executive-level oversight of all corporate and board functions and fosters board effectiveness, good governance and compliance with fiduciary responsibilities.

Lynette holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Alberta and is an active member of the Alberta Law Society and Chartered Professional Accountants. Prior to joining the Board staff, she practiced law at an Edmonton law firm, with a focus on commercial real estate and corporate law.

Lynette holds an ICD.D director designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, an Accredited Director (Acc.Dir) designation through the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), and the Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC) through the Humber Business School. She draws on her diverse background in business, accounting, law, and board management to provide strategic leadership of the Corporation.

Peter MacLeod

Chief Investment Officer

Peter monitors the services provided by the Corporation’s legislated investment manager and reports on performance and risk management. He works with the CEO and external service providers to support Board and Investment Committee decision-making.

Peter is a seasoned investment professional with a breadth and depth of experience on institutional platforms, including many years in senior roles with a Middle-East based pension plan.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Statistics from the University of Alberta and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Kathleen Rivest

Chief Pension Officer

Kathleen leads the development and implementation of pension policies. With twenty years of pension experience across many pension plans in Canada, Kathleen has worked as an employer, as an administrator, and now with PSPP Corporation. She brings a wealth of knowledge in industry best practice. Kathleen is extremely passionate about offering the best services to all plan members as well as supporting the PSPP Board.

Kathleen sits on the CPBI Alberta North Council and loves being involved in all matters relating to the pension industry.

Craig Warnock

Chief Finance and Risk Officer

Craig leads the Finance and Risk Management functions of PSPP Corporation and is responsible for developing and implementing financial reporting and controls. Craig is passionate about pensions, and with his diverse finance experience, he provides strategic support and advice to the CEO, the Corporation and the Board of Directors.

Craig is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience that includes the financial services industry, municipal finance, a multinational foreign exchange company, a publicly traded financial services provider and a large private investment firm.

Craig holds fellowships in the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA), Society of Management Accountants of Canada (FCMA), a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
